One THE FIZZ, Two Cities

It’s time for a new THE FIZZ location, this time with a special twist!
It’s time for a new THE FIZZ location, this time with a special twist!
While the new house is located in Ludwigshafen, you get all the benefits of Mannheim too. The two cities are so close to each other, only separated by the Rhine, that they share one urban area. These sister cities offer anything from modern architecture and beautiful parks to a diverse cultural scene and many social activities. And you’re not only getting two for one: the whole region and the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan area is a highlight. Ludwigshafen and Mannheim are surrounded by many places that are definitely worth a visit. For example the shores of the Rhine, or the fairytale-like hiking trails nearby or Heidelberg with its beloved old town. The possibilities are endless!
The Best of Two Worlds
The cultural scene, grown from Ludwigshafens industrial past, offers much to explore. Go shopping in the modern “Rheingalerie“, enjoy a show in the “Theater im Pfalzbau“ or find your peace of mind in the beautiful „Ebertpark“ or the „Wildpark Rheingönheim“. Across the river, Mannheim waits with even more to explore. Take a stroll through the „Luisenpark“, dive into new knowledge in one of the museums, no matter if art, history, or technology, or look into the city’s past while exploring the beautiful historical buildings. Neatly tucked between all these possibilities is our new THE FIZZ Ludwigshafen, just a short distance from the “Hochschule Ludwigshafen“ and only seven minutes from the University of Mannheim.
More Than Just Four Walls
Besides your new apartment and personal safe space, THE FIZZ Ludwigshafen has a lot more to offer! I’ve already hinted at it: Our new location is right where a student residence should be: In the heart of the city and close to the “Hochschule Ludwigshafen“ and the University of Mannheim. With public transport close by, getting in and out of the city is quick and easy. Do you remember when I said, “It’s what’s on the inside that counts“? The new THE FIZZ house has everything you need within its four walls!
Planning Your Day has never been easier!
Start your day with a relaxed breakfast, then grab your bike from the bike cellar or get your car from the garage. After your lectures at the university, you come home and meet your friends in one of the community areas to chat about the day. With no plans for the evening, you decide to gather in one of the community kitchens for a pizza night. But before you can enjoy a relaxing evening, you need to get some work done. With your laptop and a cup of tea, you head to your favourite spot in the study area and get to your homework. A quick break on the rooftop terrace is perfect for maintaining concentration, and two hours later you can look back on a successful study session.
Before turning your new plans into reality, you pick up your newly arrived parcel from the reception and grab a hoover. Let’s be honest, your apartment could use a quick once-over (and I decided your day is full of unforeseen motivation). After a cheerful dinner, you and your neighbours end the day in the gaming room with a round of Mario Kart or Let’s Dance.
While you might say that this picture-perfect day would never happen in real life, you can’t possibly deny that THE FIZZ Ludwigshafen and its features are the perfect place to set the scene. Like I said: Everything you need within four walls!
Adventures all around
Between university days and THE FIZZ events, the new house is the perfect base for day trips into the greater metropolitan area of Mannheim or the surrounding natural area. Explore nearby cities like Heidelberg or Kaiserslautern, or if you have a bit more time, Frankfurt am Main or Darmstadt. All of which wait for you with their individual charm, from metropolitan flair to historical buildings and picturesque views. If you want to get out of the city and… well, not into another one, you could visit the castle ruin in Hardenburg, the castle ruin in Heidelberg, or the castle ruin in Madenburg. (I fear, at this point, I can’t deny being a fan of castle ruins…) But in case we’re not on the same page here, don’t worry – I have other ideas for you!
How about a trip to the theme park “Holiday Park“ or a beach day on the shores of the Rhine in Mannheim? You could go on a little sightseeing tour and visit the baroque castle Mannheim or the „Technikmuseum“ in Sinsheim. For the perfect break in nature, the nearby region “Pfalz“ waits for you with beautiful hiking trails, mountains, rivers, woods, and uhm… even more castle ruins! 😀
I think that’s indeed quite a handful of arguments to give these two cities a chance! And I’m sure that the new THE FIZZ will make the streets of Ludwigshafen even more glamorous once it opens its doors in July 2025!
