Learn how you can easily book your apartment in Utrecht! This guide explains step-by-step what you need to do and when. It is really THAT easy!
1. Register
Click on the “Book now” button on our website and chose Utrecht as the city you want to start a booking. Chose the respective apartment category and size, as well as the rental period and click on “Continue”. Find a summary of your booking and click on the button “Book now”. Finally, register and start the booking process.
Make an Online Reservation for 5 Days
2. Make an Online Reservation
After you filled in all your personal information, the apartment will be reserved for you for 5 days. Within this period, you have to sign the contract online and pay the deposit.
3. Sign Your Contract Online
Enter your personal data (full name, address, phone number, bank data, etc.) and a contract will be created for you. Sign the contract digitally.
4. Pay Deposit and Send us Your Study Certificate
Once you have signed your contract, you will receive an e-mail with the payment information regarding the deposit. You can find this information as well as the form for SEPA Direct Debit Mandate in your contract as well. Please enter your bank details and sign it. As account holder, you can also enter your parents, but in this case, they have to sign the form instead of you. If you don´t have a Dutch bank account yet, you can also fill out the form and send it by e-mail no later than 14 days after the start of the contract.
Your reservation is at this moment 80% finalised, as your payment of the deposit is still missing. As soon as we receive the payment the booking will be 100% finalised.
Send us per e-mail your enrolment certificate/ acceptance letter/ internship or trainee contract, as only students and doctoral candidates are allowed to book the apartments.
5. Contract Confirmed
As soon as we’ve received your deposit, we will countersign your contract and send it back to you by e-mail. At this moment, your rental contract already is valid! In case you don’t make the payment of the deposit in time, the reservation will be automatically cancelled after 5 days.
In exceptions, we could enlarge the 5 days reservation period since it sometimes takes longer for some banks to transfer the payment.

6. Booking Confirmed
Congratulations, you are ready to move in with us!
7. Book Your Move In Date
Don’t forget to book a move in date in our calendar to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day you arrive. You can click on the email you received from us.
8. Pay First Month Rent
The first month rent must be paid at least 14 days before the start of your contract. You will find the payment information in your contract. Without the payment confirmation we cannot hand you over the keys on the day of your move in.

9. Don’t Forget to Send Your Documents
Please make sure you send us your last updated certificate of enrolment/your internship or trainee contract and liability insurance by e-mail. Please provide us your liability insurance until up to 14 days after the start of the contract and your final study certificate latest at check-in.
